Because of a renewed interest in studying the intensity, pattern and contours of structural change among the producing sectors of Assam, this study analysed inter-sectoral linkages using a time series value-added data on agricultural, industrial and service sectors during 1994-95 to 2018-19 and also employed Vector autoregressive model and conducted Granger causality test. The study found that the structural change in Assam had gone down since 2015-16. Further, it was found that uni-directional causality existed between the industrial sector and GSDP running from the industrial sector to GSDP. The study also confirmed the presence of positive spill-over from agricultural and industry to the services sector.
