The marketable surplus is the produce left over after meeting the household requirement. The average family size of above 5 members except medium holdings and average holding of 3.64 ha. The proportion of cultivated land was 92.58 per cent of total land holding. The production of cereals increased with farm size and the marketed surplus was more than marketable surplus for marginal and small holdings indicating distress sale more for marginal farms. The marketed surplus of pulses was more than marketable surplus, may due to sale of farm produce and purchase of dal.
